The Spin-Off of JOANNEUM RESEARCH
Our passion is to develop digital solutions for health and care to strengthen the well-being and quality of life of older people. This mission has given rise to the tablet-based app, which is based on the MAS Alzheimerhilfe multimodal training model. This model is based on stage-specific training according to the 5 pillars of cognition, movement, perception, activities of daily living, games and creativity. The effectiveness of this training has been proven in numerous scientific studies. More than 600 MAS trainers are currently using it in Austria.
In cooperation with the research association JOANNEUM RESEARCH, the Medical University of Graz and application partners from the care sector, our multidisciplinary team from the fields of dementia, care and IT developed the tablet app DIGITAAL life, which activates cognitive performance in a playful, multimodal way.
Many years of expertise in the field of Active & Assisted Living are not only demonstrated by the sound background in science and practice, but also by the activity on the board of directors of AAL AUSTRIA – Innovationsplattform für intelligente Assistenz im Alltag since its foundation and by the membership in the Styrian Human Technology Cluster (HTS) and TELEMED Austria.
digitAAL Life is supported by seedfinancing from the BMDW and BMK, respectively, handled by austria wirtschaftsservice (aws), and supported by the Unicorn Start-Up & Innovation Hub and the City of Graz.
